So i’ve been back a little over a month and finally managed to sort through the 3000 photos i took in order for you to see a snippet of my trip! (i know i took a lot) I absolutely loved it and would go back in a heart beat!

My biggest dilemma right now…..

So as i’ve switched to a vegan diet it would make sense that i started to make choices about my skincare & make-up being vegan too. Here is the dilemma. It is just so hard to come by here in the UK. Sure there are some brands which are available over here but there is not a big selection and by eating vegan and then not using vegan products, does that make me a hypocrite? I suppose it depends on the reason why you are vegan and whether it is for health or for the animals. In my personal opinion although i have always loved animals it was initially for health but since my eyes have been opened up to the reality of what really goes on in this world i want to reduce my involvement as much as possible when it comes to animal cruelty.

New York bound…..

I’m half way through an 8 hour flight to New York, seriously bored & watched too many films so what better time to draft a blog post.

It’s so hot on this plane, normally it’s freezing when flying but not this time. Sadly as soon as we get off the plane I don’t think this heat will last but instead I’ll be hit with an overwhelming feeling that will take over that thought !! New York baby, yes im actually here! (Well, not quite yet)

This isn’t a particular post about anything. To be honest it’s just a little writing sesh to myself which I hope will give you some joy.

Going Vegan #2: Learning so much!

I can’t believe how much i am learning on this lifestyle. I feel overwhelmed with information like i could burst! I certainly am not saying this in a bad way, quite the opposite. I’m excited to share with you my journey and what i continue to learn.

I don’t think i mentioned this before but i am following the ‘Raw till 4’ lifestyle created by Freelee the Banana Girl over on YouTube. This includes eating plenty of fresh fruit and veg throughout the day up until 2 hours before your evening meal in which you can then eat foods such as potato’s, rice, pasta for a wholesome plant based dinner. The key here is plenty of carbs! There are certain unsupported ingredients like, onions, garlic and fermented foods like soy amongst others. This mainly restricted within the first 30 days. I followed the lifestyle to a T initially but found it was rather stressful cutting out foods that are even classed as vegan. So rather than hinder the stress i just rolled with it and if an onion was all i had it to flavour my food then so be it!
