Well now it’s ‘supposed’ to be spring and heating up slowly, VERY slowly i might add. I thought i’d share a little snack i made this weekend just gone for those summer months which i hope are yet to come!
It’s super simple. You don’t need to be a master chef to do this one. It’s also incredibly versatile. Vegan you say? No problem just use a dairy free alternative such as the Moo Free range chocolate. Take these to work, school, anywhere you like for a healthy treat!
What you will need:
Kebab skewers (Wooden/bamboo)
Fruit (any you wish but big enough to skew)
The amount is purely up to you!
So let’s get started! I feel like this is so easy that i don’t really need to tell you what to do but for the sake of it I’m going to tell you how i created these tasty fruit kebabs!
So first of all:
Boil the kettle
Pour hot water into a pan
Put hob on low heat and place the pan over it
Place the glass bowl inside the pan so the hot water just touches it
Add your broken chocolate to the bowl
now don’t go turning you back for too long! Burnt chocolate – NOT GREAT!
While your chocolate is nicely melting add the fruit of your choice to the skewers
By this point you chocolate should be getting there!
Take the bowl from the pan and place on a heat proof surface
To add the chocolate hold the skewer over the bowl and drizzle the chocolate over the fruit with a spoon or fork
Place on an even surface to leave cool for 10 minutes
Super easy, tastes amazing & looks like heaven!
Tip: If you have children this could be a fun way to take up one of those ‘nothing to do’ days during the holidays. Obviously we don’t want any eyes being poked out with the skewers so leave them out! This is also a good way to get them to eat a little more fruit! Can’t be a bad thing hey! See below 🙂
Polka dot banana & cute apple slices!
Please excuse the one DRENCHED in chocolate, that’s mine 😉
Hope you enjoy & have as much fun making these as i did! Let me know how you get on guys! 🙂
P.S I was going to make this my main picture, but fruit of the loins sprung to mind! …..Kindly pointed out by my boyfriend!
P.P.S If you still don’t see it, just forget you ever saw this!
